I often need to travel at least 1 hour to go to my favorite dumpling places. So when this place opens in my neighborhood I am super pumped! I know they are called Special noodles. I think their noodles are alright, but their dumplings are excellent! Been there several times. I always order the soup dumpling and the pan fry pork buns. Honestly I usually double my order! The soup dumpling is juicy, with lots of soup inside, which requires special chopsticks skill to pick it up, definitely not forks! The wrapping is not thick and starchy at all. Super hot (in temperature) when it just comes out so be careful not to burn your lips. The pan fry pork buns is crispy at the bottom and soft on the top, and juicy inside, yum! There’s also burning hot soup inside the bun so watch out. It’s inside a shopping mall so free parking is not a problem. Plenty of tables too so no need to wait in lines.

What a fun place. The wall LED screens really sets the mood and the servers look like they just came from the gym. The service was extraordinarily fast and efficient and the foods tend towards the Yunnan areas, and can be spicy. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant.

We ordered the Soup Pan Fried Buns (6), Spicy Beef Mixed Noodles with Thick Noodle, and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with Thick Noodle. Among these, the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with Thick Noodle stood out for me. The soup base was rich and flavorful, brimming with the delightful essence of garlic. What impressed me the most was the generous serving of tender beef pieces – there were at least five in my bowl. And let's not forget about the noodles – they were wonderfully chewy. It's a Sichuan-style delight, distinct from the more familiar Taiwanese-style beef noodle soup. The latter tends to have warm spices, sugar, and fermented broad bean chili paste, while this one offers a unique and spicy twist. The only drawback was the timing of our Soup Pan Fried Buns. They arrived last, taking approximately 40 minutes to reach our table. We had expected them to be served as an appetizer, but by that point, we were already quite full from the other dishes. And it's worth mentioning that Special Noodle can be a bit on the pricey side.

Food was great, really liked that it is served hot and fresh. Portions are good for 2 people. I ordered: Vegetable Fried Rice, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Pork Soup Dumpling. Plus Tip Total was $70 Soup Dumpling has excellent flavors but the meat inside was a bit small compare to other places I've been. Honey Walnut Shrimp was great! Not the usual flavors I am used to when it comes to HWS but I like it. I think they may have added sesame oil. There was so much shrimp so this was a very good surprise for me since in most restaurant I can count the amount of shrimp they put in just by looking. Vegetable Fried Rice was good, just your normal average fried rice. Nothing stood out from how it tasted or presented. Service was good for there was barely any people in the restaurant, it seems that the locals do prefer to order out than eat in. They are very attentive and quick to serve. When you enter you are greeted and once seated you are handed a tablet to place your order. If you have questions you can easily flag them down. I am unsure but I don't think they have any normal size spoon because when I asked for a spoon to eat my fried rice, the choice I have was either a soup spoon, which I already have. Or a giant serving spoon. I should have just asked for a fork lol Atmosphere, It's good. It is very bright in the restaurant and they play some music in the background. I think that it's just too bright and they need to lessen the lights.

I will admit we ordered the Dan Dan noodles and they tasted soapy BUT the service was amazing and they were sweet enough to allow us to exchange the dish. The spicy beef soup was bomb and the spicy beef with noodles was very tasty. Would definitely recommend this spot. Just not the DanDan noodles. Also the pan fried soup buns were extra tasty

We love the food here. My son really likes the wonton soup. For me, my favorite is Pork Intestine Noodle Soup.

Every dish was truly fabulous--and we didn't even order any noodles (not deliberately, at least) despite the restaurant name. The clams were tasty, in a flavorful spicy broth with vermicelli (our accidental noodle order). The eggplant with string beans dish was shockingly good considering how simple it is, probably my favorite preparation of eggplant anywhere. The beef rolls had a perfect, balanced combination of thinly sliced beef, onions, and crispy dough. The pan fried pork buns filled with soup were delightful, with a satisfying crunchy base along with soup and pork filling that I could slurp all day. These were larger than I thought they'd be, so prepare to share (or eat them fast) so they don't cool off. Last but not least, the snowflake dumplings with chicken were fantastic all around, boasting a lovely harmony of flavors and textures. Overall would come back again!
